• Equipped with an emergency release system and removable cheek pads that allow for safe and easy removal of the pads while the helmet is still on.
• Stainless steel D-rings ensure a firm and secure fit.
• The SM3 helmet meets both DOT certification and ECE 22.06 approval for worldwide use.
• The multi-density inner liner ensures the helmet has the right density in the correct areas to enhance impact absorption, as well as helping to reduce overall weight.
• Inner and outer surfaces are designed to minimize the effects of oblique impacts.
• A proprietary low-friction coating by Alpinestars is applied to the inner main EPS liner to reduce rotational acceleration forces that may result from certain angled impacts. • Specific shell versions: features separate versions for DOT and ECE requirements, ensuring construction tailored to each certification; in the DOT version, the inner shell incorporates a composite fiber assembled between the outer shell and the EPS liner.
• Customizable fit: the helmet can be precisely adapted to the rider's head using Crown Pads and Cheek Pads available as spare parts in different thicknesses for a more precise, long-lasting fit.
• Evolving sizing system: the Youth Medium (YM) and Youth Large (YL) sizes share the same EPS size, allowing a rider using YM to later configure the helmet to Youth Large as they grow, using replacement Crown Pads and Cheek Pads.
• Youth-specific fit: the Youth Small (YS) size uses a smaller EPS size and can only be customized using Cheek Pads, providing a dedicated fit for very young riders, typically ages 3 to 4.
